GuideStar India is an initiative of Civil Society Information Services India (CSIS India), an Indian trust in collaboration with GuideStar International, UK and TechSoup Global, world leaders in NGO information and technology for good. What we do: -We run an inclusive, fully searchable portal of global standards with in-depth self-reported and substantiated information on NGOs registered in India: www.guidestarindia.org -We have a pool of certified NGOs graded on levels of transparency & public accountability and verified legal & financial compliances: GuideStar India Gold & Platinum, GuideStar India Transparency Badge -We provide capacity building for NGOs to participate effectively in the philanthropy marketplace -We carry out outreach activities and provide solutions to connect with the right NGO partners -We proactively push opportunities to a larger set of NGOs -We evangelise the need for transparency and accountability in the voluntary sector - We contribute actively to building the philanthropy ecosystem with specific focus on data standards and data interoperability
