Gurkha Tea

We are a small family company based in the UK specialising in Single Origin Tea from Nepal. We import, manufacture and produce our own teas through our garden factory in the hills of Nepal, and maintain strong bonds with neighbouring producers and artisan tea makers to provide our customers with the finest selection of single estate teas. We supply tea direct from our garden and neighbouring producers thus eliminating the use of wholesaler and minimizing transit time, meaning the tea we provide are garden fresh, unblended single origin tea and of the finest quality. Gurkha tea was founded in 2009 by Warrant Officer Gopal Giri after retiring from 21 years of military service with the Royal Gurkha Rifles. Giri established Gurkha Tea in the UK, as a natural outlet for his passion for real tea and desire to support the local tea industry of small tea farmers and to introduce the world to the finest teas of Shree Antu, Nepal. As a son of a tea planter, his affection and knowledge of tea was nurtured from an early age. Growing around all things tea and his mother’s hand rolled leaves being the only choice of beverage, fuelled his tremendous appetite for real tea. Thus swapping his riffle for a kettle was a happy choice. Our dedication and knowledge accumulated through generations has allowed us to provide our customers with the finest teas from Nepal and to become a premier supplier of Nepal Tea in the UK.
