Gurukul Switzerland is an association for Indian Classical Dance "Kathak" with the focus of bringing social issues awareness through professional productions, festivals, workshops, lec-demonstration (Performing Unit) and providing the Dance training according to ISTD Syllabus with possibility of taking annual ISTD UK Exam & residency programs (Education Unit).
We use Performing Arts as bridges to connect different types of people. We push boundaries of traditional art with a modern and contemporary approach.
Our goals are as follows:
- To push the boundaries of music, dance and drama.
- To use universal rhythms to build bridges between artists, communities, generations and cultures.
- To offer young Switzerland based professional artists a strong and solid platform to share, show and collaborate with each other.
- To celebrate similarities and understand differences in simple artistic ways.
- Follow Global Sustainable Development Goals through performing arts.
- To actively address and create awareness on social issues & diseases, therefore using dance as a tool to communicate with wider ranges of people.
