These disorders are often due to abnormal gut bacteria. We developed and patented an intensive version of MTT for autism, and our first study demonstrated an 80% reduction in GI symptoms and initially a 23% reduction in autism symptoms. In a follow-up study 2 years after treatment was completed, most GI symptom improvements remained, and our expert evaluators reported a 47% reduction in autism symptoms compared to baseline. Measurements of the gut microbiome also demonstrated good improvements at end of treatment, and even more at 2 years post-treatment. MTT is an investigational treatment, and we hope to raise funds to conduct a Phase 3 FDA approved, double blind, placebo controlled trial for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
