GymZap

The internet startup GymZap was founded back in 2009. At this time the maximal duration of a YouTube video was limited to up to 4 minutes. Live streaming was difficult, time-consuming and a pain in the ass. But with iPhone and DSL, broadband internet and mobile connectivity had arrived to Europe. After VHS, CD, DVD, content was ready to be streamed online. The founder's team Radostina Ruseva, Andy Wunderlich, and Thomas Waldecker set themselves up to create the first online gym. At first, GymZap launched an online platform for home exercisers. Later on the company changed its business model, evolving to a Software-as-a-Service provider for large corporate customers. During the four years of its existence, the company celebrated a number of successes, and innovation awards among others.
