Teaäberry Ceylon was founded in 2012. J R Pitter comes from a family background in tea and has been in the industry for many decades. The Pitter family was in the tea industry during the British Crown colony in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in late 1885. Later, in 1962, D H Pitter (his father) moved to Africa Mozambique Gurué to explore the tea industry. In 1992, J R Pitter moved out of the family business to pursue his dream in art and fashion. He qualified as a fashion designer in India and moved on to many other industries. In 2012, J R Pitter discovered an all-new product, a tea with a unique color and properties. It's called "Pink Tea." Pink Tea has natural transparency in the liquid pink color that naturally comes from its leaves of Camellia Sinensis after brewing. Pink tea was discovered in the early '90s when some tests were being done. In the late '90s, it was developed in Sri Lanka by his business partner, a doctor of Philosophy in Plant Biology, for its stability. However, J R P decided to combine his creative art and fashion knowledge with the tea business and make it the perfect blend to develop a new industry. The brand Teaäberry started introducing and promoting this unique Pink Tea and Matcha green tea powder to the local and international markets. Our Tea Master Collection of high-end teas is manufactured in our factory. The company produces some of the freshest and finest Ceylon tea for Australia, the Philippines, GCC, Europe, and the Western markets.
