Water Confluences, LLC (h20confluences) is dedicated to promoting the sustainability of communities and regions by providing expert, independent advice and counsel to problem solve water supply and natural resource challenges in local, state, interstate, national and international arenas. Founding member, Karen Kwon has more than 20 years experience in water and natural resource policy and problem-solving most recently as lead attorney in federal and interstate water matters for the state of Colorado and previously as an environmental consultant on international mining operations. In these capacities, Karen has led or been directly involved in negotiating and litigating solutions regarding interstate water apportionments, compact and treaty implementation, intrastate water administration, reservoir operations, reserved water rights, endangered species, environmental impact investigations, wild and scenic river designations and international standards for environmental compliance.
