H2Obvious is a corrosion under insulation (CUI) mitigation system which detects the presence of an electrolyte either on the surface of the substrate under an insulated system or within the insulation media, i.e. providing round the clock, long term monitoring and surveillance of the unseen substrate “a great aid in the CUI battle.”
When fitted and monitored correctly the technology is a risk and cost reduction device for corrosion under thermal insulation (CUI) and will also detect leaks in pipes and vessels again under thermal insulation. As you know these are traditionally difficult and challenging integrity issues. The device was originally conceived for the oil and gas processing environment both up and down streams however, our product is fully certified, and intrinsically safe to be used in ANY environment where these issues are prevalent.
H2Obvious devices can be installed when new insulation is applied or alternatively 'Retro-fitted' on existing insulated lines.
