H2UB is Europe’s leading Open Innovation Platform for the whole hydrogen value chain. We collaborate with the brightest entrepreneurs, corporate innovators and investors to reach the common goal: Net Zero.
Hydrogen and its derivatives are key to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors – and beyond. But state-of-the-art technology is far from perfect. That is why we have built a European ecosystem of start-ups, corporates and investors, enabling them to push the boundaries of hydrogen technology to the next level. Tailor-made acceleration programs, thought-leading market intelligence and engaging events are our key activities to support this.
Our track record: In six batches, we have accelerated 28 teams from 9 different European countries. These teams have raised over €192 million euros in external funding and achieved a market valuation of over €496 million euros.
For our corporate partners, we scout, source, select, and support start-ups to deliver innovative solutions to decarbonize business operations and maximize efficiency, while investing in future hydrogen champions.
Our study “Venture funding of hydrogen start-ups” was the pilot product for this service. It has been downloaded over 400 times by high profile investors, corporates and start-ups in the hydrogen and energy sector.
The HYDROVERSE CONVENTION is the largest hydrogen innovation event in Europe. It focuses on start-up innovation, venture building, implementation of innovative hydrogen technologies, financing and funding, recruitment, and more.
We also organize delegation tours to world leading H2 events, trade show participation for start-ups, and networking events for our community.
H2UB is co-funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and supported by numerous companies and institutions.
