Our mission is to make mental health care simple, proactive, and accessible for every student. HAAL is a science-backed mood journaling app that helps teens track emotional patterns, build self-awareness, and take early action—before stress or anxiety spiral out of control. We set out to do something different in the mental health space. Most tools step in after a crisis. HAAL works earlier—giving students a safe, private space to reflect, understand their moods, and receive personalized insights that support their well-being. HAAL was recognized nationally as a winner of the Congressional App Challenge, and is already helping students reduce stress, understand their emotions, and take control of their mental health—one journal entry at a time.
