HAICTA is an autonomous, non-political and non-profit organization, member of the EFITA (is the Greek branch of European Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture, Food and the Environment). The acronym "HAICTA" is the abbreviation of "Hellenic Association of Information and Communication Technology in Agriculture, Food and Environment ".
HAICTA activates in agricultural sector with main goals the promotion of Information and Communication Technologies for farmers benefit, the modernization of agriculture, the protection of the environment and the improvement of food quality.
Our purpose is to promote the research and teaching of Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies for the benefit of Agriculture, the Environment and the Food. During its twenty years of operation, HAICTA has organized a number of scientific events, conferences, etc.
