Haifa MUN

The Model United Nations of the University of Haifa (HaiMUN) was founded in 2010 as a course run by the School of Political Science, and as a society of the University. HaiMUN seeks to introduce students into the international arena studies in general and the UN in particular. Haifa Model UN studies engage students in an interactive and integrative method of studies, whilst allowing them to develop more intangible skills, such as public speaking, diplomacy and English fluency. A source of great pride for the HaiMUN society is the diversity of its participants, from Arab students of the Northern Villages, to Jewish students from the kibbutzim, and international students hailing from London, New York, Delhi, and Shanghai. This diversity offers a space for students to learn from one another, whilst also enriching the friendship circles of participants. HaiMUN delegations yearly compete in national and international conferences, where they represent the University of Haifa and bring up glory to the Carmel.
