Hakuna Matata was born out of a hunger to share the rich culture of Africa through the food! We are a mix of relatives and friends who became family decades ago, and we love to eat and spend time together. We love to cook together in our homes, but whenever we would want to eat out, we had minimal options for East African food in the District of Colombia, Maryland and Virginia region.
