HAL Offshore Limited, earlier known as Himachal Alkalies Limited, forayed into Offshore Logistics Segment of Oil Exploration & Production vertical in 1998 by winning the prestigious contract of Operation and Management of ONGC owned Multi Support Vessel Samudra Suraksha and Samudra Prabha. The contract was executed to the satisfaction of ONGC and thus beginning a journey which over a period of time has seen many firsts to its credit.
