Halahalele is the official travel app for discovering the Comoros — a smart, community-driven platform helping travelers plan, explore, and experience the country like never before. In Comorian, “Halahalele” means “Once upon a time.” Because every journey deserves its own story. And because the Comoros, long overlooked, deserves to be told — and lived — with clarity, connection and pride. With Halahalele, we’re not just building an app. We’re writing a collective story: one where travelers connect with locals, explore hidden gems, and experience the real soul of the islands. Our mission is to simplify trip planning, support local businesses, and digitally unlock the beauty and richness of the Comoros for the world. Key features include: • A curated directory of hotels, beaches, restaurants, events & services • A smart trip planner (Halahalele Planning) • Mdahoma, our AI assistant that recommends, guides and helps — even offline • Social features for group outings & shared adventures • A reward system to turn engagement into benefits • Offline mode & multilingual access • A sustainable approach centered on local impact We currently count over 500 active beta users, and key institutional partnerships including the Comoros National Tourism Office and ANADEN. The official launch is planned for December 2025, when the platform will transition to its new identity: VisitKomor — the new face of Comorian tourism, built from stories, powered by innovation.
