Hamid Bafghi

Hamid is an experienced MBA graduate with over 25 years of experience in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Eastern Mediterranean markets. He has held various leadership roles within British Telecom (BT) since 1998, including leading market development for BT in the MEA region and serving as the General Manager of BT Security covering MEA, Turkey, and India Region. Hamid was also appointed on a secondment basis as interim Managing Director for Taliya mobile, leading a team of 450 staff with over 200,000 customers while working for BT. In 2014, Hamid established Valatec Security & Consulting, a Management Consulting firm focused on businesses operating in the ITC, Telecoms, and Media sectors. Hamid also served as the interim Head of Cybersecurity at B.Online, a leading integrated telecommunications and information services provider in the Middle East, headquartered in Kuwait City. Reporting to the CEO, in this role, Hamid was responsible for strengthening B.Online's cybersecurity portfolio and working with the CTO to help strengthen their cyber defense and protect against cyber-attacks. In January 2024, Hamid joined elastic, a world-leading AI and Search company, supporting enterprise customers in leveraging the power of elastic's world-leading search capabilities for their observability and security needs. Reporting to the CEO of Commercis Technology, Hamid now leads on revenue generation form cybersecurity and technology solutions as Sales Director with the aim to position Commercis Technology as a trusted cybersecurity partner, driving both our revenue growth and our clients' digital transformation initiatives.
