HammerHead Wrestling Systems and the HammerHead Wrestling Club provides instruction in all areas of amateur folkstyle & freestyle wrestling, to prepare athletes for success in the sport. This is to be achieved through a proprietary belt system. Much like the martial arts, Hammerhead Wrestling seeks to recognize and rank skill attainment and progression with award belts. Unlike the martial arts, however, wresting apparel does not require a cloth belt. Hammerhead belts are fashioned after championship belts made popular in MMA, and professional wrestling. The ultimate objectives of the Hammerhead system are: •To provide guided early instruction in a non-competitive environment •To build leadership, responsibility, and self-discipline attitudes. •To continue mastery of folkstyle/freestyle technique through the encouragement of competition and leadership in later stages of the system. •To ensure the enjoyment of the sport of wrestling into high school and beyond.
