We are delighted to have an accredited Solicitor for the Elderly in the firm, along with an experienced Family Law department. We also carry out civil litigation for clients. We have offices in Banbury, Brailes and Bicester. We are a member of the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme and our team includes solicitors and lawyers who members of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. In our Family department we have members of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and the Law Society Family Law Accreditation Scheme. The foundation of our business is instructions and client referrals. We are proud of our client retention rates which reflects our ethos of putting our clients first. We have a long history. Hancocks Solicitors (until 1985, the Banbury office of Shipston-on-Stour firm, F B Hancock & Co, which was founded in the 19th Century) is a three partner/seven solicitor private client and commercial practice based in Banbury, Oxfordshire and Brailes, near Shipston specialising in Wills and Probate, Conveyancing, Family Law, Commercial Property, and Civil Litigation for individuals and SMEs in North Oxfordshire and beyond, including London and overseas. On 1 May 2015, Hancocks acquired Cotswold Family Law, a rural practice in Brailes providing Family Law, and Wills and Probate services, expanding the range of services offered to Cotswold Family Law clients. In January 2019, Hancocks opened a further office in Bicester to serve our clients in that area of Oxfordshire more readily.
