Read More on the Loneliness Epidemic that Inspired us to Take Action: In a recent article by Forbes contributor, Bruce Lee, an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, shared a report published in May 2018 by Cigna, that in surveying more than 20,000 Americans over the age of 18 on the UCLA Loneliness Scale, a 20-item questionnaire frequently referenced as the academic standard to gauge loneliness, there were alarming findings such as: "Nearly 1 out of 2 Americans report sometimes feeling alone or left out" "1 in 4 Americans rarely or never feel as though there are people who really understand them" "2 in 5 Americans sometimes or always feel that their relationships are not meaningful and that they are isolated from others" "adults ages 18-22 report being the loneliest generation"
