Hanns & Erving

Hanns + Erving is a member owned cooperative that stabilizes underdeveloped communities through the restoration of blighted properties. We do so through a community based platform that provides local residents with the opportunity to invest in real estate via physical and intellectual labor. Within this social mobility-enhancing model individuals not only develop technical and professional skills but also share in the economic benefits of real estate investment without the need to contribute cash. Most of our members lack the necessary training to perform certain tasks, however, we train them in whatever area interests them. Members can acquire skills ranging from architectural design and engineering to carpentry and plumbing.
