Born in 2018 of our founder's burning desire to do something drastic to help the planet after she saw a viral video telling how much gift wrap goes to landfill every year - largely due to its plastic content. Frustrated with a tiny sheet she received in the post for her child's birthday, she set up business selling generous 4m rolls of completely plastic-free gift wrap made from recycled and recyclable wrapping paper, and Eco-Wrap was born. Roll on 2022, with our British-made products now stocked in garden centres, gift shops and high street retailers, Eco-Wrap is under new ownership and rebranding as Hansel UK! Both the founder and new owners share the same values and have climbed mountains to get to this point, including experiencing very similar personal tragedies. We care about the planet and want to give others the opportunity to make conscious decisions too.
