Our Mission: To create inclusive communities through training and projects led by disabled people. Our Values : Lived experience – Our work is led by people with lived experience of the challenges we address, ensuring all decisions are informed and inclusive. Person-Centered – We value individual needs and experiences, seeing each person as a whole, and celebrating the value they add to society. Forward-thinking – We invest in the futures of disabled peopleby listening to our community, finding innovative ways to work with them to flourish personally and professionally, with a route to volunteering and employment. Our Aims: - Work together with individuals and organisations to remove barriers faced by disabled people. - Promote positive disabled role models. - Create long-term social change, including societal attitudes, organisational practices and national policies. Why our service is necessary: Led by disabled people, we deliver inclusive training and projects across all sectors. Our lived experience approach has had proven, positive impact on the social inclusion of communities and the way those communities view and value disabled people. The social and economic impact of our work to communities is wide-ranging, with disability hate crime continuing to increase, unemployment rates for disabled people continuing to be significantly higher than their non-disabled peers, higher rates of poverty for disabled people and businesses continuing to miss out on the benefits of the Purple Pound – the spending power of disabled people. Our impact: Our award-winning work has been recognised internationally, allowing us to positively impact thousands of beneficiaries. We continue to upskill disabled people and provide them with a pathway to volunteering and employment.
