#HappyToTalk aims to create a happier society, one conversation at a time. Despite being more connected than ever, we live in a society that is more divided and insular than ever. It's 'odd' to know your neighbours, we’re too busy staring at our phones to give off more than a grunted ‘hello’ as you walk in the door. #HappyToTalk is a social movement aimed at encouraging people to be more open to a casual chat with a fellow commuter, choosing conversation over headphones in, head down, even if it's just once a month. That’s what #HappyToTalk is about, whether you buy a badge or make one out of paper, it’s a social movement seeking to make friendly exchanges the norm, a shared story and a smile, a 5-minute friendship, a moment that changes someone’s day for the better.
