Harbor Innovations was founded in 2015 on Long Island, New York by Rachel Dombrowsky. Rachel began her career in healthcare, with a focus on elder care, eventually becoming an owner of assisted living facilities. Rachel identified a problem when assisted living facility residents were sent to the hospital for treatment and had to wait weeks before being discharged, due to more serious hospital-acquired infections. Rachel felt the urgency to do something about it, and after investigating from several angles, thought of the idea for what would become FloorX. The journey to bring it to life, however, has been one full of learning, discovery, and tireless effort to bring a breakthrough technology to the market with the potential to help so many throughout the world.
As a medical device company, Harbor Innovations is on a mission to help reduce HAIs, using their cutting-edge, patented UVC technology. The company seeks to lead the fight against surface contamination, to save lives and money. That, however is just the beginning.
