Hard Luck Design

“Hard Luck Design” is a collective of Pasifika and Māori creatives that decided to express their work the way they want to. We want to build a community of like-minded people that also want to express themselves and tell their story. Being a collective of indigenous descent and having the knowledge and resources to tie in our Kaupapa with our work makes us a unique studio. Our different backgrounds both creatively and personally makes us a team of superheroes that can take clients brand to the next level. The naming of hardluck came about from kiwi phrase meaning failure. We see it as ‘what after’ that phrase. When you fail, you get up and go again - we want to exemplify that it’s okay to fail cause you can always get up and try again.
