Hareep Pakistan

HAREEP is a non-profit organization registered with Government of Pakistan. It aims to channelize talents of potential artists and craftsmen especially hailing from rural areas in order to promote Art for development of a well-established and moderate civil society. Moreover, it is also trying to harness diverse communities using the medium of Art and Craft. HAREEP has long been conducting various workshops in different areas of Pakistan. These workshops included communities previously being neglected both by public and private sector. HAREEP, through these activities, tried to explore and nourish the skills in realm of arts and design specifically targeting youth. These activities undoubtedly played a pivotal role not only in spreading awareness regarding arts but abridging hiatuses between rural and urban communities of Pakistan. HAREEP intends to address and expand its operational arena in the future. Today, globalization and industrialization has uplifted mankind and shorten distances between the communities of the world. But at the same time, the tensions between different cultures of the world are also increasing. Feeling lacuna of the scenario, HAREEP aims to use art as a medium of connecting global community to eradicate the cultural gaps between the communities. It intends to conduct artist residency and artist exchange programs. These programs on one hand will harness a wider global artist community on single platform and on the second such programs can be beneficial for the artists especially living in developing nations.
