Welcome to The Harmon Group. Harmon's was formed on the 29th of May 1964, offering a grinding and tooling facility for the Aerospace, Defence and Commercial Markets. On 20th February 2000, Harmon purchased 30,0002 feet purpose-built premises on Haviland Road based on the Ferndown Industrial Estate, Dorset. In April 2000, the Metal Treatments division was set up, mainly to reduce lead times on in-house programs, but also to focus on offering the service to other suppliers and our customers direct. In 2006 an extension to the Treatments facility was completed, new lines had been purchased and were up and running in a short period of time, this included Cadmium plating, dull, bright and low hydrogen, phosphate and chemi blacking being introduced. Harmon's invested in new premises focusing on the expansion and growth of the company in 2007, a further purchase of free hold buildings meant the forever increasing floor space totalled to excess of 42,000 sq ft. Throughout 2008 leading up to 2014 Harmon’s felt that investment had always been a must, the continuous investments within the company enabled Harmon’s to attain an enviable reputation within the Manufacturing, Grinding, Fabrications and Treatment Divisions. The workforce at Harmon’s continues to grow and over the past couple of years Harmon’s have employed over 50 new staff members. This means that Harmon’s are now able to offer a One Stop Shop Facility for all customers on one premises! In 2014 Harmon’s embarked on a further progression path, this forward thinking has led them to the new exciting opportunity of a possible new factory where the Manufacturing department will start their journey for expansion. An expansion of premises will not only enhance Harmon’s reputation but the available capacity which will come when the transition is complete.
