Founded in 2012 by Frank-Rainer & Susanne Hartung, the foundation is the continuation of an internationally successful family business from the professional stage technology sector, which developed the first computerised chain hoist control system for scenic use above people in 1994, certified according to the industry standards in force at the time.
This was followed a few years later by the product première of the first high-speed chain hoists with integrated positioning and load measurement, which were used on tours by the Rolling Stones, Metallica, Madonna and the Eurovision Song Contest, among others.
In addition to projects such as the Gewandhaus Leipzig, Qatar National Convention Centre or the Marina Bay Retail Centre in Singapore, Eilenburg products have also been used at the Olympic Games and other sporting events such as the Football World Cup in Qatar.
The Hartung family is currently involved in business areas such as new food, veterinary clinics and other innovation-orientated industries. The Hartung Foundation also supports cultural and economic projects in the region and beyond. Decades of international business experience are contributed into various fields as a source of inspiration and new pulses for innovation and progress.
