Africa is possibly the richest continent on the globe, and yet it is home to the poorest people in the world. The question then is; why? We think that the answer is the absence of skilled, strategic, servant leadership that can harness the resources we have, mobilize the people towards a vision for transformation and deliver the transformation that our continent urgently needs.
This anomaly may go unchecked if we do not rise up and do something about it.
We believe John Maxwell was right when he said that, “everything rises and falls on leadership”. That’s why Harvest Institute is here; to raise skilled (a matter of the hands), strategic (a matter of the head), servant (a matter of the heart) leaders who will bring transformation to every community in which they find themselves.
Our approach includes both traditional learning methods like lectures, discussions, assignments and assessments; as well as experiential learning, where students will be asked to perform tasks or get into learning environments outside of their comfort zones so as to wholesomely grow into the kind of leaders that we need – doers, and not just people equipped with head knowledge.
