Harvest is a computational blockchain servicing company operating in a rapidly growing digital asset market. The bedrock of Harvest’s business is servicing blockchain networks, designing proprietary technologies to optimize those systems and building applications to grow organic transactional activity. Bitcoin was founded in 2009 in the midst of the biggest banking recession in a century, creating the foundation for a trustless medium of value storage and exchange. Since then, Bitcoin has grown dramatically as a global financial asset class and paved the way for the rise of an over half-trillion dollar token economy. In 2017, the digital asset market based on blockchain grew from $18 billion to over $600 billion by year’s end. The pace of price discovery, to date, has outpaced the network power and infrastructure to support it. Maintaining the network alone requires a combination of mining (transaction validation on the blockchain), node support (retaining a full ledger), transaction tools (wallets, exchanges). As such, mining digital assets and servicing network support has remained increasingly profitable.
