Hatcher Ventures mission is to bring attention to the issues around equality and opportunity for Women, People of Color and LGBTQ+ founders, entrepreneurs, and businesses. In 2021 $330 billion dollars was raised by Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds. It was the best year on record. Out of that astonishing number, only $18 billion was went to Women, People of Color, and LGBTQ+ Founders.That's just a little over 5% of the funds raised. Our mission is to bring attention to these issues and connect private equity, venture capital, and investors to great founders who are Women, People of Color, and LGBTQ+. The world is missing out on trillions of dollars in untapped opportunity by not investing more in these underserved groups. Can you imagine the impact it would have on society if we made strides to reach parity in investing? It would add trillions to global GDP, create jobs, reduce poverty, build wealth , and make the economy more fair and equitable for all.
