HAUS – FRAU blev resultatet af vores ønske at bringe nye dansk tøj- og boliginteriørmærker til Silkeborg og åbne en anderledes modetøjsbutik end dem, som allerede fandtes i byen. Forretningen åbnede i oktober 2006.
Bag navnet HAUS-FRAU lå idéen om at tilbyde lækre produkter til både hjemmet og kvinden. Yderligere skulle navnet indikere en vis form for ironi, da der er langt mellem den “kedelige” hausfrau og den kvinde, som vi kan påklæde.
