Founded in Singapore in 2018, Havalina is setting out to replace the bottle with sustainable packaging tied to a circular business model and innovative recycling methods. The traditional wine market is still tied to the heavy and antiquated glass bottle and overwhelming evidence shows that glass is a very poor sustainability ‘performer’ as a single-use material.
We aim to change the classic rules around wine and modernise the experience for wine drinkers everywhere. Packaging is equally as important as the product it holds. Wine is also now being consumed in cans and packs however our pouches allow wine to stay fresh for up to 6 x weeks once opened. We think its just a better way of consuming wine.
We select and choose wine producers that are fully committed to sustainability, and by that we mean producers that REALLY do care about the environment. Not the usual big brand producers paying lip service . Thats why our first wine partner is Degli Azzone, one of only 2 wine producers in Italy, to partner with VITISOM, a European project for the promotion of sustainable soil management in viticulture.
