We are located at the largest supply base in Norway, Fjord Base in Florø. Here, we have produced norwegian cod since early 2000. We never gave up, and that is why we now have 7th generation in our tanks. This cod uses 18 months to become 4 kilogram, while our first generation used four years.
In 2014 we expanded the fish varieties, and started production of the cleaner fish ballan wrasse. In October 2021 we expanded even more, and as the 2. company in Norway we produced salmon based on RAS technology. The results were overwhelming.
Continuous work and ability to innovate all these years now gives us unique competence that we bring on to our ambitious plans for the future.
Land based fish farming is process industry, and we want control of every environmental parameter in our production. With our strong competence and belief in land based marine species, we are taking responsibility for the environment trough a sustainable and gentle production. We have minimal impact on the environment and our production are not at expense of wild fish. Land based fish farming also makes it possible for us to utilize existing industry knowledge, technology and area.
In the future, if oil and gas related activity decreases, we can maintain local activity by using existing resources, competence and area to land based fish farming. The demand for sustainable, healthy, and good food will never decrease, and every day we are a part of the solution for a greener world.
