Hawaii SAR CON is Hawaii’s premier platform for sharing the latest tools, technologies, and training in emergency services. It unites public safety professionals, search and rescue (SAR) agencies, civilian volunteers and the community in a foundational networking event where collaboration begins. The goal: to enable and empower everyone to work more effectively and efficiently to save lives. As natural disasters become more frequent, safety and preparedness are paramount. KOA SAFE, a three-day event supported by all counties and first responder agencies, focuses on prevention, innovation, and resilience. By leveraging Hawaii’s uniquely diverse terrain, KOA SAFE highlights cutting-edge technologies and best practices in wilderness and ocean safety—demonstrating the state’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives. KOA SAFE builds bridges between emergency services and the community, cultivating a collaborative environment grounded in education, communication, and preparedness. The event celebrates and reinforces core Hawaiian values—kuleana, aloha, and mālama ʻāina—strengthening our islands’ social fabric.
