HAYAT ORPHANAGE

In Afghanistan, almost 2 million children are orphaned due to poverty, wars, disease, and a lack of social funding. Many of these innocent children are forced to either live on the street alone and afraid or in overcrowded orphanages with little hope for their future. Forgotten by the world, and neglected by the government they receive no education, no proper clothing, and infrequent nutritious meals...if any meal at all. Without education, these children are destined to live in poverty their entire lives. Often seduced by corruption and crime in the hopes of supporting their families, many will not make it to their 20’s, but today is your chance to help change the lives of the innocent. Hayat Orphanage opened in March 2014 and is located in the centre of Laghman Province, Afghanistan with the sole mission of aiding the vulnerable orphaned children in the area. Providing medical care, food, and clothing is only the beginning of the support Hayat Orphanage provides to those in need as they have a deep understanding that education is the only way out of poverty along with emotional and ethical support. We also sponsor orphans throughout Afghanistan helping them financially to ensure their single mothers do not resort to begging. The children are enrolled into their local school, given books, clothing, shoes, toothbrushes, they health needs met and are monitored on a regularly basis to ensure they on a good education plan and meeting their targets. Their mission is to promote good ethics in every child that supports tolerance, justice, fairness, and humanity while providing a safe environment where they can learn and grow.
