The focus of the HCC is to develop and implement programs that are responsive to documented health needs of county residents, with specific health status indicators as benchmarks of progress. The HCC implements and support countywide, and in some instance, regional programs that help create access to education, awareness, prevention and treatment services.
Our goals include:
Monitoring the availability and delivery of health care service
Ensuring that all residents are informed about available health and wellness services
Advocating for the individual, care provider and making an institutional commitment to the health of our citizens
Holding our region accountable for its commitment to the health of our citizens
Providing a unified voice for our region that will address health needs with agencies and governmental entities beyond our boundaries
