Established in October 1984 as a robotics team within Hyundai Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai Robotics became Korea’s leading manufacturer of industrial and LCD glass handling robots through its development of various technologies and products including its own robot controllers.
On April 1, 2017, HD Hyundai Robotics celebrated the construction of a smart factory where robots produce robots, followed by the foundation of its Chinese corporation in 2019 to propel the firm’s entry into the Chinese market. Through these efforts, the company created a foundation to expand its presence in the global market.
Going forward, we at HD Hyundai Robotics will continue our efforts to improve product quality and reduce costs to provide customers with more competitive offerings, and lead Korea’s robotics industry by developing new business areas such as collaborative robots and service robots.
In addition, we will offer smart factory solutions powered by robotics-based AI, big data, and IoT that allow for smarter automated manufacturing.
