Das Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence (IAAI) der Hochschule der Medien (HdM) hat sich das Ziel gesetzt, KI in die Anwendung zu bringen. Im Fokus steht, die Lücke zwischen Forschung und Industrie zu schließen. Das IAAI will dazu beitragen, KI als Schlüsseltechnologie zu etablieren, in dem es aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse bewertet, das Potenzial für Unternehmensanwendungen erkennt und KI mit externen Partnern aus der Industrie in der Praxis anwendet.
Ein Kompetenzschwerpunkt liegt in der ganzheitlichen Betrachtung des Themas. Das IAAI stellt in seiner Arbeit den Menschen in den Mittelpunkt: Wo und wie kann KI den Menschen unterstützen? Welche Implikationen entstehen für Gesellschaft und Arbeitswelt?
Hinter dem Institut stehen rund 18 Professorinnen und Professoren aus unterschiedlichen Studiengängen der HdM - von Medien- und Wirtschaftsinformatik über Medienwirtschaft bis zu Online-Medien-Management oder Werbung und Marktkommunikation.
