healthbit was a developer, marketer & seller of predictive health software. Our target customers were both care providers and healthcare IT vendors around the world and we reached them either directly or through key partnerships. The software supports care givers in clinical decision making for better and faster diagnosis of critical medical conditions such as heart disease across the health continuum and assists them in the healthcare transformation journey – a global phenomenon with the main aim of reducing the high cost of healthcare while improving the quality of care delivery – to a value-based healthcare system!
The initial use case of focus for healthbit is machine learning – infused analytics for better prediction of congestive heart failure based on cardiac MRI imaging. healthbit heartcare ™ is a clinical decision support tool for use by the cardiologist at the point of care.
healthbit (registered trademark in the BeNeLux) technology services was based in Nijmegen, Netherlands and Edegem, Belgium and was founded in January 2016. The board and shareholders decided to discontinue operations in March 2018 due to lack of external funding to continue business activities. The assets have been liquidated.
