HEART N HANDS is a nonprofit organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana focused on heart health awareness, prevention and education for young girls in our community founded in September 2014 by Essence Harris Banks, a heart disease survivor since 2004. Our mission is to empower, educate and raise awareness of heart health and heart disease prevention, provide heart health education, integrate physical fitness/exercise/sport activities, and encourage healthy lifestyle choices for young girls aged 10-18 and their families.
With 9 years of impact, we've educated 7,500+ girls, trained 500+ in Hands-Only CPR, and expanded our reach to Nashville, Houston, Atlanta and Austin. Let's continue making a difference!
