Hearth Design Lab

Hearth Design Lab is a Netherlands-based technology design studio developing a digital database focusing on smart textiles bridging material innovation with an education-centered approach, as we believe in early adoption of technology can help form the innovative minds of today for the world of tomorrow. Our Vision Open source education is at the core of Hearth Design Lab, therefore we curate and share innovative principles and theories that can be used to inspire and connect research projects to current and future market developments. Behind the studio is Paulina Martina, a contextual fashion designer trained at Via Design and Business University in Denmark with a background in textile engineering at the University of Boras in Sweden. While taking part on several exchange programs across the world Paulina has developed a network of innovators who want to disrupt the design world as we know it by creating added value to the world by means of cross-specialty collaborations. Therefore, we work with design thinking, and a coaching-centered approach, to develop material innovations.
