HeartScan turns any smartphone into a contact-based cardiac sensor — no wearables, no app, no camera. Just a phone placed on the chest.
We use seismocardiography (SCG) to extract real-time heart signals through the phone’s motion sensor. Our API and SDK deliver high-accuracy heart rate and cardiac phase data directly in the browser — used across wellness, telehealth, and mental health platforms.
The platform has processed over 500,000 sessions and is already live in use cases ranging from remote triage and mental health onboarding to rural health screening in sub-Saharan Africa.
Founded by Michal Borodkin, HeartScan was built from first principles: high signal quality, zero friction, and real-world robustness — especially in settings where traditional sensors fail.
