GreenWave

Greenwave is a student-run initiative aimed at combating the intense heat in Bangladesh. Started by forestry and environmental science students from Chittagong University, Greenwave focuses on planting native trees during the monsoon season to help mitigate summer heatwaves. This approach is scientifically sound as monsoon is the optimal time for tree planting. Since its inception, Greenwave has been actively involved in sustainable tree planting projects across Bangladesh, with a particular emphasis on the Chittagong region.
