Hedgehog Applications believes in making the world a better place for our next generations. We do this by combining proven and new technology into innovative solutions for today and tomorrow. These solutions are integrated, green and profitable aimed at saving energy, increasing energy efficiency and reducing emission of harmful gasses. In order to do that, so far, we developed two systems: The ChargeBooster, the modular fast charging battery station for limited grid connections and The Railbooster, a unique system to charge electric buses and trains with the braking energy. The ChargeBooster innovates electric vehicle (EV) charging with a truly smart combination of energy storage battery and charging infrastructure. It tackles grid connection limitations with efficient, modular and scalable solutions that accelerate the large-scale adoption of (heavy) electric transport by helping to store green energy. The RailBooster is a state-of-the-art free floating DC energy system, which unlocks the power potential of the rail catenary. Our system makes it possible for trains, metros and trams to brake regeneratively and to re-use this braking energy. Next to saving braking energy and reducing fine-dust from the mechanical brakes, the system is able to release pressure on the public energy grid and can supply peaks of energy to building or simultaneously charge large numbers of electric buses from its powerful battery pack.
