OUR MISSION Henrietta Lacks’ Family started HELA100 to honor her 100th birthday on August 1, 2020. Today, HELA100 continues as the Lacks family-led initiative on a mission to educate future generations on the impact of her HeLa cells while advancing health equity and social justice.
