About .

The Helen Hackett Foundation was founded by a group of family and friends of Helen Hackett. Helen unfortunately lost an extreme battle with Breast Cancer in 2005 at age 31. The cancer that eventually consumed her lungs was a very rare and aggressive form. Early detection still remains the major key in fighting Breast Cancer and its with this that the Helen Hackett Foundation was formed, to assist the greater community in awareness and assisting others in early detection to ultimately help save young women's lives for the future. The Helen Hackett Foundation is committed to continuing Helen’s legacy by not only ensuring young women are encouraged to be breast aware but by also continuing to raise the valuable funds to purchase Digital Mammography machines for The Wesley Hospital in Brisbane to help with the diagnosis of Breast Cancer in women and men. It is our vision that all women and men seeking diagnosis for breast changes/breast cancer should have access to these state of the art machines.
