We, team Helios Agro is a group of professionals practicing in different disciplines like Management, Law, Education and Accountancy. Between us, we had a small piece of farmland which was used to grow organic vegetables and staples like wheat for our families and friends for more than 15 years. It was during the first wave of Covid 19 that we realized how the society around us was suffering for want of chemical and pesticide-free farm products. Knowing the quality of produce, there were frantic demands for vegetables from our friends and extended family. Forced to think of a solution to the situation, which demanded hygienically raised nutritionally strong food products that could also enhance the immunity levels, we zeroed in on producing various varieties of mushrooms. We engaged with the well-known experts, updated our knowledge on the subject, took training ourselves and embarked on the journey to grow mushrooms. To ensure that we get around the year uninterrupted produce of quality mushrooms, we put up state of the art climatically controlled air conditioned growing chambers. We went for the best compost and the spawn as inputs and we are happy that the results are better than we expected.
