The system utilizes volumetric optoacoustic tomography, which visualizes absorbed optical energy, and produces detailed anatomical 3D images. Heliosonix systems are used by medical researchers for testing pharmaceuticals and therapeutic devices. The technology allows scientists to test their innovations on animals without sacrificing them but also to track the long-term progression of their therapies in live animals. The Company has delivered 11 systems to customers in 5 countries and has an order pipeline of 45 units. Heliosonix systems are based on patented and proprietary optoacoustic tomography and laser ultrasound technology.
