Helios Solutions (SL) Limited is a social enterprise providing innovative, smart and low-cost off-grid solar solutions to rural and under-served communities across West Africa, enabling families and small businesses to flourish and grow. In three years, we have connected more than 260,000 homes in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia to solar power with pico solar lights and solar home system sizes ranging from 8W to 200W. Each 8-12W battery powered-system comes with three lights, mobile phone-charging and a portable solar powered radio and torch light. Customers can now opt for a 20-200W systems with digital TV, cook stove or an all-in-one Computer. In 2020 our plug and play products and services will be integrated with affordable mobile payment plans and the latest PAYG technology. This will enable customers and distribution partners access to a growing portfolio of sustainable, safe and energy efficient appliances with units being owned outright within 2-24 months. Our customers now enjoy over 16.25 million hours of kerosene-free lighting per month and they will save over 250,000 tonnes of CO2 over four years.
